Privacy Policy
Last updated 26 July 2026. Freshers Job ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect when you use freshersjobsite.com, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it under Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
What information we collect
We collect the minimum information needed to help you find and apply for jobs:
- Information you give us — your name, email address, phone number and message when you use the contact form, sign up for job alerts, or apply for a listing.
- Usage information — pages you visit, searches you run (role, city, keyword), and general device/browser information, collected automatically so we can show relevant roles and fix bugs.
- Cookies — small files stored in your browser for session handling (keeping you logged in) and basic, privacy-respecting analytics. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles of you.
We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted personal data to us, contact us and we will delete it.
How we use your information
We use your information to: show you fresher jobs and internships relevant to your search; respond to messages sent through the contact form; send job alerts you have explicitly opted into; keep the platform secure and prevent abuse; and understand aggregate usage so we can improve the site. We never use your data to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
When do we share your data?
When you choose to apply for a specific job listing, the details you submit for that application are shared with the employer or hiring partner behind that listing so they can contact you — that is the whole point of applying, and we tell you this at the point of application. Outside of that:
- We do not sell your personal data to anyone, ever.
- We share limited technical data with infrastructure providers (hosting, email delivery, analytics) who process it only on our instructions and under contractual confidentiality obligations.
- We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety or security of our users or the public.
How long do we keep your data?
We retain contact-form and inquiry data for as long as needed to respond to you and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping, then delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time — see "Your rights" below.
Is my data secure?
We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards — encrypted connections, access controls, and secure hosting — to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration or loss. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data with the same care we'd want for our own.
Your rights under the DPDP Act
As a Data Principal under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is being processed.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Erase personal data that is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected.
- Withdraw consent for any processing that relies on it — such as job alert emails — at any time, as easily as you gave it.
- Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
- Grievance redressal — raise a complaint with us first, and if unresolved, escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us via the Contact page or email [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and verify your identity before making changes to protect your account.
Cookies and how to control them
You can clear or block cookies at any time through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect features like staying signed in, but browsing and searching for jobs will still work.
Third-party links
Some listings link out to an employer's own careers page or application form. Once you leave freshersjobsite.com, that third party's own privacy policy applies — we encourage you to review it before submitting any information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our platform or Indian data protection law evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
